Board Member- Board of Directors

We are looking to add a volunteer director to our board to help guide the strategic direction, financial health, and legal compliance of LIFT Non-Profit Housing of London Inc. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to your community by playing a critical role in improving the quality of life and financial future of low-income/affordable housing in our city.

We are currently looking for individuals with a background in any of the following areas:

• housing
• finance
• non-profit board governance
• social services
• mental health service

Expectations and Time Commitment:

• Must possess a strong dedication to affordable, safe, and sustainable housing.
• Directors are expected to attend meetings either remotely or in person, fully prepared, having reviewed all distributed financial statements, committee minutes, and background briefings.
• Participate actively in discussions and votes around organizational and strategic decisions as part of a team
• Participate as required in communications with board and management between meetings
• Ensure the organization obeys local, provincial/state, and federal housing regulations, funding agreements, and its own
