Join us in making learning fun! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help run hands-on activity stations at our Family Literacy and Math Events.Volunteer for just one event or sign up for multiple - it's up to you! This is a great opportunity to gain experience, earn volunteer hours and make a positive impact in your community. Our Family Literacy and Math Events are held at various TVDSB & LDCSB schools either after school or early evening. These events provide an opportunity for children in grades JK to 3 and their families to participate in fun learning activities together. 12+ engaging stations incorporate literacy and numeracy skills development and are each paired with a relevant book that ties to the overall theme. STEAM and motor skills are also imbedded in the activities.Volunteers arrive a half hour prior to scheduled event to help set up, facilitate an activity station and then help to pack up afterwards - usually a 2.5/3 hour commitment.
