Social Media, Marketing & Branding Volunteers — The AI Leap 2026

Short Summary

London is taking the leap. On September 29, 150+ business leaders, founders and students gather for the city's first AI event of this scale. We are looking for 8 creative volunteers to help tell that story — social content, photography, video, design and outreach. Most of the work is remote and flexible. You get a free seat at the event, published work with full credit, and a portfolio piece from a genuinely high-profile local launch.

The Opportunity

For years, the big AI conversations have happened somewhere else. Toronto. Waterloo. San Francisco. Meanwhile, London's own leaders have been figuring it out quietly on their own — in banks, law firms, fintech startups, consulting practices and family businesses across the city.

On September 29, we are putting them all in one room.

The AI Leap 2026 is a practical, jargon-free evening built for London. No hype. No vendor pitches. Real leaders talking honestly about what AI cost them, what it returned, and what they would do differently. Data sovereignty and guardrails. Honest ROI. The human side of leadership that no model can automate. More than 150 executives, founders and decision-makers are expected, alongside students from Western and Fanshawe. TechAlliance is hosting the after-party.

That is the event. Here is the part we need you for.

A night like this only matters if people hear about it. The right story, told well, in the right places. That is a marketing job, and it is the one we are recruiting for.

If you make content, shoot photos, cut video, design, write or know how to get a message moving in this city — this is your role.

Who We Are Looking For

You do not need a tech background. You do not need to know what a large language model is. Curiosity is plenty.

You are a great fit if you:

• Are 16 or older
• Have some creative skill you enjoy using — content, photo, video, design, writing or outreach
• Can respond to messages and hit small deadlines over the next few weeks
• Are comfortable working with a bit of independence
• Bring your own device and the tools you already use

We especially welcome:

• Students in marketing, MIT, media, journalism, design or business at Western and Fanshawe. This counts toward community service hours, and the portfolio value is real.
• Career changers moving into marketing or creative work who need recent, credited pieces.
• Freelancers and early-career creatives who want visibility with London's business community.
• Newcomers to London looking to build a local network fast. This role puts you in front of a lot of the right people.

About The AI Leap

The AI Leap is London, Ontario's practical AI event, presented by DLytica AI and supported by TechAlliance, Brango Solutions, Streaming Inc, EQ Rockstar and Omnipressence.

Our aim is simple. Most AI conversations are either too technical or too salesy. Neither helps a business owner in London decide what to do on Monday morning. So we built an evening where real leaders share what worked, what it cost, and where the risks are — plus a direct bridge between local employers and the students building these skills right now.
