Human Appeal is a non-profit organization working across the globe to strengthen humanity’s fight against poverty, social injustice and natural disaster. Through the provision of immediate relief and the establishment of self-sustaining development programs, we aim to invest in real, effective solutions. We work year-round to establish healthcare, education, and livelihood programmes that pave the way for empowered, self-serving communities. We also provide food, medical aid, and disaster relief during emergencies, a critical intervention that saves lives. Our skilled local teams are able to access some of the most hard-to-reach places in the world, at their most vulnerable of times. Human Appeal was founded in a small flat in Manchester in 1991, and was slowly and diligently built from the ground up. Since then, we’ve grown from a team of two students to a family of over 173 employees in the UK, 100 staff in our international country offices, and 887 volunteers, all of us united towards a common goal of a kinder, fairer world. In 2024, we started our chapter in Canada to grow our mission even further, still aiming to reach every human.
The Nanny Angel Network is a registered charity and the only organization of its kind in Canada. Build resiliency in children by teaching life-long coping skills. Provide a sense of normalcy for children during a tumultuous time in their lives. Backed by 30 years of nanny agency experience, NAN has continued to successfully provide free resources for cancer patients and their families for over a decade. We support families at any point during the cancer journey. We’re there from the time of diagnosis, during treatment or through palliative care. We continue to support families who need help for up to a year during the bereavement period.

Made up of knowledgeable parents, professionals, and autistic self-advocates who can speak to the key issues that impact autistic individuals and their families, Autism Ontario is the province’s leading source of information and referral on autism, and one of the largest collective voices representing the autism community. There are seven regions across the province of Ontario. The work we do helps all autistic individuals and families in their communities have access to meaningful supports, information, and connections so they are equitably and seamlessly supported across their life course. Autism Ontario is guided by the board of directors, composed of parents, people on the spectrum, and respected professionals, who provide governance, expertise, and guidance to the organization on a volunteer basis. Autism Ontario aims to support and advocate alongside all autistic individuals across the province, regardless of race, ethnicity, income, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Now more than ever, we must be active and deliberate in listening to and including all autistic voices across the province. We will continue to expand our reach to neglected segments of our community. We will work to provide spaces of support and advocacy for our Black and Indigenous communities. And we will work together to dismantle the systems of oppression that prevent many autistic individuals from realizing their potential and living meaningful lives. As we do our work, we will also reflect on the systems of oppression that prevent many autistic individuals from realizing their potential and living meaningful lives.
