Head Coach Within London, there are numerous Head Coach positions as there are multiple skill levels, locations, dates and times There are 3 programs requiring coaches: o Eagles – high ability – play regularly on golf course with 2:1 athlete to coach ration. Dates of play are at discretion of coaches i.e. Belmont & Maple Ridge Golf Course o Falcons – medium ability – play at Parkside 9. Dates are mid-June to end of August from 7:00 to 8:00pm o Chippers – lower ability – majority play at Parkside 9 with some at Tin Cup. Dates are mid-June to end of August. Tin Cup has 2 sessions from 6-7 and 7- 8. Parkside 9 has one session from 6-7. Parkside 9 has a driving range and is for the exclusive use of Special Olympics The Tin Cup is a driving range and we have limited spots for the Chipper program Head Coach – Chipper Program Directs the program and assigns athletes to driving range area Determines if weather conditions will permit safe play Assesses ability level of athletes to determine which program the athlete is best suited for. Coordinates with Falcon and Eagle programs to see if they can accommodate athletes with appropriate skill sets Coordinates volunteer assignments to athletes Encourages volunteers to work on basic swing techniques with athletes.
