At Volunteer London, we take pride in linking people with local nonprofit community organizations, supporting persons with disabilities, new Canadians, corporations and professionals connect to organizations in and around the city, helping individuals develop skills to advance their careers, and developing knowledge resources that support effective and efficient volunteer capacity.

Robin Hood Army Canada (RHAC) aims to serve and empower communities-in-need, and help eradicate homelessness in Canada through empathy, teamwork and awareness. The primary role of a Robin (volunteer of RHAC) is to deliver food, clothing and hygiene items to shelters in Ajax and Oshawa, to facilitate basic life skills workshops and create awareness. Volunteers are required on ongoing basis with most drives being carried out on weekends, and can devote time as convenient to them Volunteer roles include - -Robins deliver surplus or freshly prepared food from restaurants, events and homes, to homeless people, refugee families and shelters. They also deliver clothing, hygiene items or basic life skills workshops to people-in-need. During COVID-19 all pickups and drop-offs are contactless. -As a Robin, you can help from the comfort of your home – with social media, check-in calls, metrics, partnerships, IT, research, and looking at addressing some of the root causes of homelessness in your city. There is something for everyone to do. Volunteers are required to be over the age of 18. Once the registration form is submitted, our Onboarding Team will reach out to familiarize you with the needs, risks, actions, and expectations. Quality Connections Adult Day Services provides structured daytime care and support for adults in a safe, supervised, and inclusive environment. Our organization offers social, recreational, and wellness-based programs that promote independence, skill development, and community engagement for participants, including seniors and adults with physical or developmental disabilities. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life of each individual we serve by ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being through personalized attention and professional care. We operate with a commitment to safety, compassion, and compliance with all applicable health and care regulations.

The Good Neighbour Project is a volunteer initiative dedicated to providing on-the-ground support to connect vulnerable people with the groceries and necessities they need during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our hotline is set-up to connect all healthcare workers, seniors, persons with disabilities, those in self-isolation, pregnant, or parents/caregivers to our volunteers in London who are willing to assist in picking up and delivering groceries and supplies to those in need.

We are an official branch of Lions Club, an international community service organization. Each month we conduct service projects which may range from baking cookies for the Ronald McDonald House to attending the Santa Claus Parade in support of the London Food bank. We are always looking to add members to our club and help better serve the London community.

Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario enhances the quality of life and care for people living with Parkinson’s in Southwestern Ontario. We strive to reach every person in Southwestern Ontario affected by Parkinson's by providing support, advocacy, education, and research for affected individuals.

The Shoebox Project for Women collects & distributes gift-filled Shoeboxes to women who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness in Canada, US and UK. For women who have been displaced from their homes and estranged from their families, special occasions can be particularly challenging. Often, women report feeling disconnected from society, invisible and alone. A Shoebox gift is a powerful reminder for a woman that she has not been forgotten and that she remains a valued and respected member of her community. For those giving gifts, The Shoebox Project is a tangible and creative opportunity to give back directly to someone in your very own community. It’s a small, simple gesture of kindness that has an immediate, positive impact on the woman who receives it.

The Learning Disabilities Association – London Region is a charitable, not-for-profit agency that serves the City of London as well as Middlesex, Elgin and Oxford counties. Through program offerings, individual coaching, advocacy and community resources, the LDA – London Region provides the ongoing strategies and accommodations people with Learning Disabilities need to succeed.

A Friendly Voice offers callers aged 55+ across Ontario the opportunity to connect with kind and empathetic volunteers when they are looking to alleviate feelings of loneliness and social isolation (or if they are just looking for someone new to talk to!)

Our organization focuses on addressing a number of challenges faced by the immigrant community in London. Our primary goal is to help individuals become productive members in the London Community. We focus on four (4) key areas: - 1) youth development, - 2) integration of new immigrants - 3) mental health support, - 4) and cultural education. We help youth build connections to the community and become productive in life by providing mentorship and support on school work, and career planning. We support settlement of newcomers to the city and provide guidance for securing housing and jobs. Our organization believes that supporting individuals at the grassroots level is important for them to become productive members of the Community.
