Opportunity Description
Our vision is that sport will open hearts and minds towards people with intellectual disabilities and create inclusive communities. Volunteer Opportunity: Assistant Coach – Floor Hockey C Team Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week October 20, 2025- April 13, 2026 Monday evenings, 630-730 pm at Clarke Road Secondary School The role: The Floor Hockey C team/program is going to be a mid-low level competitive Floorball program. The sport is new to the community and Canada. It’s the next evolution of hockey based sport for special Olympics. Assistant Coaches will be involved with team building and will be required to lead drills when tasked by the head coach. Hockey/floorball experience is NOT required, but a willingness to participate is highly recommended and encouraged. Requirements
- Background/police check required
- Appropriate for volunteers aged between 18 and 55
- Appropriate for volunteers aged 55 and over
