BGC London (Food Service Assistant (Supper Club))

Description: Supper Club Volunteers support BGC London’s nutrition-focused programming by helping serve meals, engaging with children and youth, and promoting healthy eating habits. Volunteers assist with food service, cleanup, and interactive learning in a welcoming, community-oriented environment.   Location & Schedule: Location: BGC London, 184 Horton Street Dates: Sept 2025 – May 2026 Days: Monday to Friday (school weeks only) Commitment: 2 hours/day (3:30–5:30 PM) Duties: Serve meals and snacks to children and youth. Engage youth in conversations about nutrition and healthy choices. Support a positive, inclusive mealtime environment. Clear tables, wipe surfaces, and assist with dishes. Follow basic food safety and hygiene practices. Education/Skills: High school student (Grade 10–12) or adult volunteer; no prior experience required. Comfortable interacting with children and youth. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction. Food safety knowledge and First Aid/CPR are assets.
