The Read-Up program is designed to help students who struggle attaining literacy skills due to an identified or suspected learning disability. The Read-Up program will help improve reading skills by focusing on phonological awareness, fluency, vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. Tutor/Mentors will help students in this program to improve reading skills, close overall learning gaps and also promote a positive outlook by embedding mindfulness techniques. LDA-London Region is currently recruiting University and/or College students to volunteer their time this winter by joining our TEAM of tutor/mentors. We are looking for individuals who are interested in learning more about learning disabilities and ADHD, re you interested in being a tutor/mentor to a child or youth, have previous tutoring experience, are a fun and outgoing and are patient and have a warm personality?
