Opportunity Description:

LDA-London Region is currently recruiting University and/or College students – age 18-30 years, who are fun, outgoing, patient and have a warm personality. Our spring tutoring programs will be held ONLINE over Zoom Communications. Academic Tutor:  During this 8-week ONLINE program you will provide individualized academic tutoring sessions to your assigned student. Tutors will be responsible for leading these sessions by assisting with homework or providing extra instruction and practice with academic subjects. The Program & Volunteer Coordinator will be available for assistance and all tutors will have access to many resources in assisting with building your weekly sessions.  Tutoring programs are being offered on either Wednesday or Thursday evening ONLINE. Skills Preferred:  Must have strong academic abilities; Must have previous experience working with children and/or youth; Must have strong verbal and written communication skills; Must have past tutoring experience (professional level not required). Required: Training is mandatory and is provided to all LDA-LR tutor/mentors; A Vulnerable Sectors Check is required – information provided during interview.
