Opportunity Description:

Are you a College or University student (ages 18 to 30) looking to build on your work experience? We are looking for volunteer camp counsellors who are interested in being part of our amazing team of mentors. Our camps are for campers in grades 4 to 9. We are seeking fun, outgoing, energetic, individuals who are have a warm personality and can take the initiative. In our camps, we do a little bit of learning with the campers but have a whole lot of fun throughout our camp weeks. You would be asked to commit to one full week of your choice of camp. Camp Counsellor hours would be from 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Tech Discovery Camp: Monday, July 18 to July 22; STEM-task-tic Camp: Monday, July 25 to July 29; Stepping Stones to High School Camp – Tuesday, August 2 to August 5; Adventures in Learning Camp: Your choice of week -Group A-Gr. 4&5 Monday, August 8 to August 12;  Group B-Gr. 6-8 Monday, August 15 to August 19 Skills Preferred:  Must have some experience working with children and youth; Some camp counsellor experience preferred; Must be flexible/adaptable to change; Must have quick problem solving abilities; Have experience working as a member of a team; Must be a motivated self-starter and can take initiative; Have excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
