Opportunity Description:

The London Branch of the Willow Youth Network is recruiting for the 2023-2024 year! We are looking to fill several positions on the Executive Team. Willow Youth Network is a national nonprofit located on Turtle Island, otherwise known as “Canada”.  We empower a generation of young leaders by providing free and accessible programming aimed at promoting gender equity. We partner with community organizations and schools to provide free workshops catered to the needs of each community. Some of our workshop topics include body image, leadership, and safety through social media use. We fundraise to enable our operations within the communities we serve as well as to support and uplift other grassroots organizations working to serve the community. We use our social media platforms to highlight role models in the community and highlight ongoing events and initiatives. We foster a safer, non-judgemental, and supportive space to learn and grow together. We make mistakes and learn from them in order to become better global citizens. Our programming focuses include youth engagement, discussion-based learning, and asking difficult questions of ourselves and others. Please use contact Kaylynn using the email enclosed in this posting or fill out an application form at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc3sKorZx6nuLaZctMRKVbx5FGF59hXeIIchBtI8Vd89QMsgw/viewform (more information about each of the roles is included in the form).   If you have any questions, email Kaylynn at london@indigogirlsgroup.com. We look forward to hearing from you!  Willow Youth Network is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. In our hiring process, we actively work to combat any form of discrimination. We are therefore happy to accommodate any and all individual needs in keeping with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.  If you need assistance or accommodation due to an exceptionality please feel free to reach us at our email listed below. We recognize that academic and professional qualifications are a privilege and therefore we choose to value lived experiences and passion for our mission over professional skills. If you do not meet all the suggested requirements, we encourage you to still apply.* It is important to note that Willow Youth Network is continually learning, growing, and working to do better – we acknowledge past and current practices are imperfect. Have feedback on how we can make our postings or hiring process a more inclusive space? Please let us know at hello@indigogirlsgroup.com – Thank you! We strongly encourage applicants who are living with a disability, people of colour or visible minorities, indigenous people, trans and non-binary people, and any other members of the LGBTQ2S+ community.
