CNIB Partners With THE TEN SPOT® To Launch Braille Nails in Support of Braille Literacy

January is Braille Literacy Month in Canada, a time to recognize braille as a cornerstone of literacy, learning, and independence for people who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision. That’s where your hands can help. Funds raised through Braille Nails will help support CNIB’s braille literacy programs, ensuring they have access to instruction, materials, and tools that allow them to learn to read and write independently. Just as we would never question the importance of print literacy for sighted children, children who are blind deserve the same foundation for success.

Salvation Army Kettle Campaign a huge success after call for volunteers comes through

A last-minute push for volunteers to help with the Salvation Army’s Kettle Campaign has paid off. “CTV was very helpful to us recently in doing a call out to people to help us out with our kettle campaign,” said Nancy Kerr, executive director of London’s Salvation Army. “We really needed volunteers and over 100 people responded to that call. At the time, we were quite low in our revenue towards our $650,000 goal.”
