Volunteer Opportunities Special Olympics Ontario/London is dedicated to enriching the lives of Londoners with an intellectual disability through sport. We support 18 different sports with over 400 athletes. Volunteer Opportunity: Assistant Coaches for Active Start Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week  Wednesdays  – 6:00-6:40 pm ASAP to April 29/26 Location: Hillcrest Public School, 1231 Fuller St. The role:  This program is about physical literacy, learning about taking turns, listening to their coaches and playing as a team. As an assistant coach, you come in and help the athletes through the warm ups, different games, skills, drills, etc I have planned for them. The younger group focuses on basic movement skills, throwing, catching, kicking etc, while the older program begins to work on different sports after getting familiar with the program and equipment.
