Opportunity Description:

We are currently looking for remote volunteers to help run our annual walk. This event has been a huge success in past years, but this year, we’ve had to adapt the event due to Covid-19, and we are now encouraging people to Walk the Block for Parkinson’s!   The outreach support will assist PSSO staff and marketing managers in coming up with and implementing creative ways to advertise the event, contacting people/groups/sponsors/local media to ask them to help plug the event, come up with ways to recruit more people to walk. Roles/responsibilities:  Build a plan of creative ways to advertise the event alongside the Marketing Manager Work with Community Champion Leads and Volunteer Manager to build a list of local people, groups, sponsors and local media to reach out to  Build and implement an outreach plan for getting sponsors and recruiting local organizations to get involved Build a plan of how to increase walk participants and implement with volunteer manager, community champion leads and community champions   Time commitment: 10hrs/week
