Opportunity Description:

Victim Services of Middlesex-London (VSML) Volunteer Crisis Responders provide immediate on-scene emotional support, practical assistance to those impacted by crime or tragic circumstance. Volunteers are on-call and respond to requests by Police and other Emergency Services within London and Middlesex County. Most common requests occur after Sudden death, Domestic Violence or House fires. Volunteers always work in teams of 2 and will attend personal residences, hospitals, police stations or potentially outdoors.  All volunteers are expected to wear PPE and follow existing safety protocols. Volunteers will finish their training by the end of November 3, 2022. Training included 40 hours online training courses (23 modules) completed at your own pace over the Summer and 30 hours in-person training (7 training days on some Thursday evening and 2 Saturdays in late September and most of October).
