Our Bengali association is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring our most anticipated and cherished annual festival Durga Puja to life!Whether you love event planning, logistics, cultural programming, stage management, or just want to help welcome guests with a warm smile, there is a place for you here. Volunteering with us is more than just helping out; it’s a wonderful way to connect with elders, inspire the next generation, and keep our rich heritage alive and thriving.Who can join: All ages welcome! A morning or afternoon social group/event that promotes health and wellness, social interaction and often includes sharing a meal together. Volunteers help plan, grocery shop, cook, serve a meal, set up/clean up and encourage conversation. Not all locations require set up/clean up. For this role, we are looking for volunteers who have experience working in a kitchen and who have their Safe Food Handler's Certificate, or the equivalent in experience.

Just 15 minutes to 1 hour of your time per week can help reduce loneliness and create lasting connections. Visit times are scheduled flexibly between you and your matched client, making it easy to fit into your week while making a big impact!

Be a daily lifeline for someone who needs it.Volunteers with our Telephone Reassurance Program provide friendly weekday check-in calls to older adults to ensure their safety and well-being, while offering peace of mind to their caregivers. Calls are made Monday to Friday during set times—either 8:30–9:30 a.m. or 5–7 p.m. This dependable daily connection helps clients feel supported, safe, and remembered.
