Investing in Children has been helping children to learn, grow and thrive since 1999. We offer nutrition programs, literacy initiatives, free inclusive after school programs, free guitar lessons and several initiatives that nurture well-being including a Kids Power Conference, Kids 1st Day which partners w/ local organizations/businesses to provide free/low-cost activities, Special Olympics.
We are a non profit volunteer run adult hockey league. We support inclusion and a safe space for the queer community and our allys. Our goal is to offer equitable hockey and remove traditional barriers.
The Kindness and Smile Zone is a youth led initiative that was started by 14 year old Ayona Jaswal, to help children, especially children in hospitals or clinics, have some fun while learning new things. On our website, you will find different weekly activities for children to do as well as the chance to share your thoughts/work with us! Our mission is simple: Giving children the chance to be creative and have fun, even during the hardest times. The Kindness and Smile Zone also has a program called "Smile Mail" through which we send children kindness cards and letters. LEADS Employment Services is a not for profit employment and skills development agency. Since 1986, we have been providing specialized and customized services for people with disabilities and/or employment-related barriers throughout Southwestern Ontario. At LEADS, Employment Specialists work with clients who need varying levels of assistance developing skills and accessing employment opportunities, and/or post-employment supports. We also work with employers who have hiring needs, including screening, matching, and on-boarding, and who want to save money and resources in training and accommodation recommendations.
To date, LEADS has placed over 30,000 candidates with more than 16,000 employers and has helped thousands more develop life management, employment, community access, and life skills.
For the fiscal year 2023‐2024 LEADS served over 2600 individuals and secured 829 employment placements and 36 youth volunteer placements.
We are a registered non-profit incorporated under the Independent Living Philosophy. The Independent Living Philosophy works to unite persons with disabilities with the resources they need to meet their needs on their own terms. Doing so promotes agency, or the ability to make plans and carry them out. It also promotes efficacy, which is the view of one self as a person who can follow through on their plans. Both traits are critical to the psychological well-being of the individual.
Independent Living Centers are based around core services that are selected to meet the needs of the community. Independent Living, London and Area is based around the Peer Support Program and Direct Funding. Peer Support offers a variety of engaging activities and events that are designed to reduce barriers to participation for the participants. Direct Funding is a provincially mandated program that allows a person with a disability to act as the direct employer of their caregiver.

We sell gently-used clothes, furniture, and household items to thrifty, value-conscious shoppers, so you can feel good and do good. Because for us, it’s not about the price tag. It’s about purpose.
With every pre-loved item you buy, dollars go into supporting our joint ministry with Bible League Canada. The net proceeds of all sales go towards funding local community initiatives and international programs in over 50 countries worldwide, so every donation, volunteer effort, and purchase impacts something greater.
The Nostalgic Theatre (TNT) is a non-profit volunteer group of amateur senior performers, 55+, who perform variety shows to organizations such as Retirement Residences, Nursing Homes, Churches, Special Events, Fundraisers and Private functions.
Through a broad range of Community and Family Services programs we support the ability of people to empower themselves at all stages of life to break the cycle of poverty and reduce isolation. We work every day to be a transforming influence in the community. We have been providing this practical, spiritual and emotional support to individuals and families in London, Ontario for over 40 years.
Founded in 2004, Jake’s House is a Provincially and Federally funded Canadian charity with a mission to provide meaningful support to families living with autism across the country. Recognizing that more than any other single issue, families dealing with autism need a community, Jake’s House is committed to growing a strong network of people who understand and care–a family that is determined to provide tangible solutions. Jake’s House supports individuals on the spectrum throughout their lifespans through four core initiatives: 1) Jake’s House Annual Holiday Parties, an 18-year tradition of bringing families together for a welcoming, fun and festive celebration; 2) Legends Mentoring Program, themed group mentoring workshops that provide youth with opportunities to learn skills, socialize and make friends; 3) Jake’s House Employment Mentoring, a program that supports the integration of young adults into the workforce; and 4) inclusive housing solutions, designed to address the growing housing gap in the autism community, giving more aging adults a place to call home. You will be supporting a dynamic, fast-growing organization, collaborating with a passionate, dedicated team.
A Friendly Voice offers callers aged 55+ across Ontario the opportunity to connect with kind and empathetic volunteers when they are looking to alleviate feelings of loneliness and social isolation (or if they are just looking for someone new to talk to!)
Our volunteers come from diverse cultural backgrounds and ethnicities. YRES has many opportunities for volunteers as we are always expanding our programs. These opportunities allow you to give back to your community but also develop industry leading skills in a professional environment.
YRES is a Charitable Not-for-Profit Organization that uses the help of community partners in order to carry out a variety of ever-expanding Educational Services.
