We are a registered non-profit incorporated under the Independent Living Philosophy. The Independent Living Philosophy works to unite persons with disabilities with the resources they need to meet their needs on their own terms. Doing so promotes agency, or the ability to make plans and carry them out. It also promotes efficacy, which is the view of one self as a person who can follow through on their plans. Both traits are critical to the psychological well-being of the individual.
Independent Living Centers are based around core services that are selected to meet the needs of the community. Independent Living, London and Area is based around the Peer Support Program and Direct Funding. Peer Support offers a variety of engaging activities and events that are designed to reduce barriers to participation for the participants. Direct Funding is a provincially mandated program that allows a person with a disability to act as the direct employer of their caregiver.

As voted on by our fans, Airshow London was named the Best Air Show in North America by USA Today’s 10Best Contest in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Each year, we welcome 30,000 attendees and rely on the support of 500 volunteers to bring this world-class event to life.
Our vision is a world where mental health is funded, supported and destigmatized for the general public. To do that, we provide a three prong structure that consists of Education + Awareness + Entertainment.
Through a broad range of Community and Family Services programs we support the ability of people to empower themselves at all stages of life to break the cycle of poverty and reduce isolation. We work every day to be a transforming influence in the community. We have been providing this practical, spiritual and emotional support to individuals and families in London, Ontario for over 40 years.
The Nanny Angel Network is a registered charity and the only organization of its kind in Canada. We have been providing free, specialized childcare support and programs to families living with cancer since 2009.
Three main goals that drive everything we do:
Provide specialized, Child Life-informed childcare support and programs for parents with cancer to give them the time they need to take care of themselves and reduce existing social support burn-out.
Build resiliency in children by teaching life-long coping skills.
Provide a sense of normalcy for children during a tumultuous time in their lives.
Backed by 30 years of nanny agency experience, NAN has continued to successfully provide free resources for cancer patients and their families for over a decade.
We support families at any point during the cancer journey. We’re there from the time of diagnosis, during treatment or through palliative care. We continue to support families who need help for up to a year during the bereavement period.
Results Canada combines the voices of our volunteers with strategic efforts to leverage millions of dollars for programs and improved policies that give the people living in the Global South, the health, education, and opportunity they need to thrive. We are a global movement of passionate citizens, committed to raising our voices for a world without extreme poverty.
Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario is currently in search of volunteers to help run our annual Walk for Parkinson’s. This event is always a huge success with the help of so many of our amazing volunteers. This year we plan to host the walk in person following COVID-19 public health guidelines. In the event COVID-19 restrictions change the Walk for Parkinson’s will be held virtually.
To assist with this event, we are recruiting volunteers for two positions:
Community Champions
As a community champion you will Invite people to be part of the event, Share the event within your community and networks and Mobilize others to the walk a success by sharing your plans, thinking up creative ideas on how to tell others about the event and encouraging people to communicate online. This is a minimal time commitment and can be done remotely.
Day-of Volunteers
As a day-of volunteer you will assist in a number of positions including set-up/take-down, parking crew, finish-line, greeter among others. Day-of volunteers help our walk run smoothly.
Becoming a volunteer at Am4teens opens up a door to a world of virtual opportunities that relate to your personal passions and interests. Our organization encompasses blog writing, outreach, advocacy, graphic designing, coding, and so many other fields of interest. From creating learning resources for children in need, art for the #blacklivesmatter movement, designing social media posts to raise awareness on social justice issues and so much more, Am4teens has an opportunity for everyone.
The Canadian Association for Girls In Science (CAGIS) is Canada’s largest and longest-running STEM club for girls, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming youth aged 7-16. This award-winning club, founded in 1992, supports interest in Science, Technology, Trades, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with virtual programming and local clubs that visit labs, workshops, and field sites to meet mentors and do fun, hands-on activities.
The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) is part of an international network involving thousands of trained personnel worldwide, including many volunteers. Salvation Army EDS personnel respond to incidents of various sizes and scopes. In following with its holistic ministry, The Salvation Army provides supports that meet the immediate, as well as long-term, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of disaster survivors and responders.
An organization, founded by teenagers to combat global violations of human rights, aims to educate individuals and create change in society.
We are dedicated to enhancing lives today and accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow by supporting and working with community partners; enhancing resources and services; increasing understanding, acceptance and inclusion of people with autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.
