The Communications Representative Position includes but is not limited to the following tasks:-Phone call follow-ups with vendors, sponsors and other contacts.-Complete mental health 101 training-Volunteer will work 1 weekday each week (Same weekday each week) within the hours of 9AM-5PM (hours may change per week as per the volunteer's schedule) and for a total of 4 continuous hour shifts. You may pick what day a week you work but same day each week.This is a virtual position but employee should live within London, Ontario. You must have a working phone capable of calling Ontario, we do not reimburse phone minutes. Mental Health 101 training takes place in July and you will be required to take it when its released. We are looking for volunteers who can uphold our Code of Conduct and make recommendations and decisions to uphold the values of the league.Ideal volunteers do not need to understand hockey, but instead help us develop and uphold our Code of Conduct and assist with Conflict Resolution. Volunteers will need to address concerns and complaints raised from our online form or via email to our league account.Issues may include personal matters encroaching on the game, rough conduct on the ice or any form of bullying and discrimination.
Join our Friendly Visiting Program and connect one-on-one with an older adult through weekly phone calls or in-person visits. Just 30 minutes to 1 hour of your time per week can help reduce loneliness and create lasting connections. Visit times are scheduled flexibly between you and your matched client, making it easy to fit into your week while making a big impact!
Be a daily lifeline for someone who needs it.Volunteers with our Telephone Reassurance Program provide friendly weekday check-in calls to older adults to ensure their safety and well-being, while offering peace of mind to their caregivers. Calls are made Monday to Friday during set times—either 8:30–9:30 a.m. or 5–7 p.m. This dependable daily connection helps clients feel supported, safe, and remembered.
