Our vision is that sport will open hearts and minds towards people with intellectual disabilities and create inclusive communities.Volunteer Opportunity: Softball B - Team ManagerTime Commitment: 2 hours/week Wednesdays - 6:00-8:00 pm May 20-Aug 19@ McMahen Park - 640 Adelaide St N, LondonThe role: The Team Manager will help support the Head Coach by taking weekly attendance, collecting funds from athletes, organizing a local tournament if applicable, communicating with athletes if practice is cancelled and other general administrative duties. A knowledge of softball is not required as this role is administrative and requires organization and attention to detail. You are required to be onsite on Wednesday evenings to take attendance, other communication may occur via email. Join us in making learning fun! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help run hands-on activity stations at our Family Literacy and Math Events.Volunteer for just one event or sign up for multiple - it's up to you!This is a great opportunity to gain experience, earn volunteer hours and make a positive impact in your community.Our Family Literacy and Math Events are held at various TVDSB & LDCSB schools either after school or early evening. These events provide an opportunity for children in grades JK to 3 and their families to participate in fun learning activities together. 12+ engaging stations incorporate literacy and numeracy skills development and are each paired with a relevant book that ties to the overall theme. STEAM and motor skills are also imbedded in the activities.Volunteers arrive a half hour prior to scheduled event to help set up, facilitate an activity station and then help to pack up afterwards - usually a 2.5/3 hour commitment. A morning or afternoon social group/event that promotes health and wellness, social interaction and often includes sharing a meal together. Volunteers help plan, grocery shop, cook, serve a meal, set up/clean up and encourage conversation. Not all locations require set up/clean up.
Volunteers are matched one-on-one with clients for weekly visits, either through phone calls, virtually or in-person, to provide companionship and support. Calls are to be made weekly for approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Volunteers provide a daily Monday to Friday telephone call to a client to check on their safety and well-being, putting their caregivers at ease. Calls are made from 8:30-9:30am or 5-7pm.
We are looking to make the Fundraising Representative role an ongoing volunteer position. If you are interested, you would attend our next four auctions and help out with one of the roles. Upcoming auction dates! Feb 11 2026 May 6 2026 Sept 9 2026 Dec 9 2026 The auctions take place from 4:30pm-9:30pm, volunteer hours are available. Only serious applicants please!
