1:1 Mentor in School

Organization: Big Brothers Big Sisters of London and Area

Description: Time commitment: 1 hour once a week for the academic year What & Where: You will be matched with a Little that is in grade 1-8 and will meet with them at their school. You will decide what activities to do based on common interests. For example, playing a board game or creating a craft.

Group Mentor

Organization: Big Brothers Big Sisters of London and Area

Description: Group mentors must be between the ages of 18-25. Time commitment: 1 hour once a week for 8 weeks. What & Where: We offer two group mentoring programs for youth in grades 6-8: 1) Go Girls (for female-identifying youth) 2) Game On (for male-identifying youth). Both programs run over 8 weeks and help youth learn to make informed choices about leading a healthy lifestyle. As a mentor, you will be paired up with another mentor and together you will deliver the program in a local school. These programs run in fall, winter and spring.

Database analyst

Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Database analyst Volunteer to support to our Outreach department. Responsibilities: Depurate and complete information of our database by merging information of different files. Assist with data entry and record keeping, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. It include call different organizations. Carry out a search for new organizations to expand our database. What you will bring: Strong interpersonal and communication skills and problem – solving skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Be detail-oriented and like working independently. Familiarize with CRM platforms. Competence in the use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT platforms. Capability to operate in a multi-cultural setting. Knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc) This is an unpaid volunteer position, but volunteers will gain valuable experience, as well as the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and mission-driven team. Go Wild Grow Wild Volunteer

Description: Join our team at Carolinian Canada as we relaunch our annual Go Wild Grow Wild Green Expo! The Expo is a great opportunity for the community to explore the vibrant activities and ecological solutions making a difference in southern Ontario and celebrate the hope we have in the land around us. As a volunteer, you can join and support a network of local environmental groups and stewards and build connections with like-minded individuals. Volunteer roles range from supporting set-up and clean-up and coordinating volunteers to providing assistance to guests, speakers, and exhibitors and stewarding safe spaces.

Powerhouse 5k Road Race Supporting St. Joseph's Ivey Eye Institute

2024 London MS Walk Event Day Volunteers

Description: The 2024 London MS Walk is taking place Sunday May 26th 11:00 am at Springbank Park. The MS Walk is a community‐driven event for people living with or affected by Multiple Sclerosis as well as those who want to support our vision of creating a world free of MS. Tens of thousands of Canadians come together in their communities every May to participate, fundraise and volunteer in MS Walk to help find the cause and cure for this disease. These events would not be possible without the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers given their time. There are various areas on site (Event set up/wrap up, parking control, participant check in area, checkpoint set up/attendants, route guides, food & beverage area, kids activity area, start/finish line cheering, volunteer check in) where volunteer help is needed to ensure that this event runs smoothly and participants have a great experience while they are walking to raise critical funds to support those effected by MS.
