BGC London (Basketball Assistant Coach)

Join us as a Basketball Assistant Coach at BGC London and help make our basketball program a success! About the Role: As a Basketball Assistant Coach, you will work closely with our Head Coach to provide an engaging and supportive environment for our young basketball players. Your role will include assisting with practice drills, minor behavior management, and setting up and taking down equipment. Position Details: Location: BGC London Main Club Schedule: Saturdays, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Dates: October -December, January-March, March-May Key Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach with practice drills and warm-ups Support minor behavior management during sessions Set up and take down basketball equipment Provide encouragement and support to players Collaborate with the Head Coach and other assistants to foster a positive and productive environment Qualifications: Experience coaching or participating in basketball as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable and committed to the scheduled shifts Passion for working with youth and supporting their development Why Volunteer with Us? Assistant Coaches - Curling

Description: Volunteer Opportunity: Assistant Coaches for Curling Time Commitment: 2-3 hours/week Sundays - 9:00-11:00 am Oct 6 2024- March 30 2025 Location: Ilderton Curling Club The role: No curling experience is required, just warm clothes, clean shoes and a positive attitude. Coaches will be required to support athletes on and off the ice. Off-ice support includes making sure all athletes have appropriate footwear and head protection. On-ice support includes supervising athletes during play and ensuring that everyone is being safe, assisting athletes with delivering rocks and sweeping, ensuring play continues at a reasonable pace, assisting athletes with turn-taking and scoring. Hot chocolate and a quick social occurs after practice, before the majority of the athletes load onto the school bus to take them home. Volunteers may also ride the bus.
