Description: We need fun, friendly volunteers to help plan, organize and execute fundraising events for a new non profit organization in Ontario, Canada. Your involvement will be planning charitable events and participation if asked. You will also be involved in certain marketing strategy aspects for events and obtaining donors. The perfect applicant will be one that will enjoy help building a non profit from the ground up. The most important thing is we will all have fun completing our tasks together. There will be opportunity towards eventual salary paid roles for our organization. Applicants must have good communication, critical thinking to bring forward fresh fundraising ideas also must have good customer relation skills. Candidates with certain career and trade skills will be an asset, but not necessary, like marketing, co-coordinating, team building, accounting, etc. Meetings for planning fundraisers can be done at home and certain other tasks, like crafting, flyer designing, mailings, etc. We wil have some incentives throughout the year for your appreciation and volunteering help as well. When necessary. Gas expenses will be covered.
Bowl-A-Thon Event Volunteer

Description: About PHSS PHSS is a non-profit organization that provides unique and flexible supports and services so that people with complex medical, physical, and/or developmental needs can live the life they choose as part of the community. PHSS supports more than 300 individuals in more than 70 locations across Ontario, providing 24-hour residential supports, day and overnight respite, specialized complex medical care and intensive behavioural supports, recreational programs, and support for individuals living at home with their families. Join us for our 20th Annual Bowl-A-Thon! We put the FUN in fundraising each year at our annual Bowl-A-Thon! Join us for an afternoon of bowling and prizes as we kick off the 20th Annual Bowl-A-Thon at Fleetway (720 Proudfoot Ln.) on Sunday, June 4th, 2023! The Bowl-A-Thon fundraising event came to PHSS via active parents with the organization, who saw the Bowl-A-Thon as a way to involve many of those who are supported, their families and staff, in a fun way of fundraising. The PHSS community forms bowling teams to participate in the Bowl-A-Thon and collects pledges to support their participation! They champion and lead the coordination of SuperWalk in communities, from start to finish, with support from Parkinson Canada. They support the organizing committee and ensure a positive experience for event participants. You will solicit sponsors in conjunction with the Sponsorship Coordinator and ensure the funds collected the day of the event are properly recorded and deposited. You will ensure all activities and actions are in alignment with the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk program and Parkinson Canada Policies. Your Contribution As a SuperWalk Coordinator, your people-skills, enthusiasm, and talent for organizing make you an excellent community facilitator. London MS Walk- Event Day Volunteer

Description: The 2023 London MS Walk is taking place Sunday May 28th 11:00am at Victoria Park in London! The MS Walk is a community-driven event for people living with or affected by Multiple Sclerosis as well as those who want to support our vision of creating a world free of MS. Tens of thousands of Canadians come together in their communities every May to participate, fundraise and volunteer in MS Walk to help find the cause and cure for this disease. These events would not be possible without the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers given their time. There are various areas where volunteer help is needed to ensure that this event runs smoothly and participants have a great experience while they are walking to raise critical funds to support those effected by MS. Site Set Up/Wrap Up Crew: Unloading supplies and equipment Helping set up/tear down tents, tables, chairs, banner & signs Decorating and tidying the site, clean up post event Parking Attendants: Directing traffic to parking lot or designated parking areas Check in: Managing check in line ups and directing participants Provide event info to participants and answer any questions Making a donation ask to participants who have not yet donated Checkpoint: Help load/unload event vehicles with supplies Set up and clean up checkpoint area Greet and cheer on participants Route Marshal: Help set up directional signage along route Alert participants at heavy traffic areas, hazards or changes on the route If needed, alert traffic that participants are crossing intersections. Route marshal should not attempt to stop oncoming traffic Cheer on participants Photographer & Photographer Assistant: Take photos of teams and participants at the start/finish line Capture general images of event participants and volunteers Encourage participants and teams to have their photos taken Help control line ups and sort through team name signs Floater: Being flexible to fill any gaps as they arise Food & Beverage: Set up food, beverage and supplies, restocking and cleaning away litter Help to clean up after event Start/Finish Line Cheer Squad: Cheer participants as they head out on the route and as they return Kids Activity Area: Ensuring the kids have a memorable experience by interacting with them and facilitating games and activities Volunteer Check-In: When volunteers arrive, check off name on volunteer attendance list Make sure that everyone has completed a volunteer information form Hand out volunteer t-shirt, name tag and student letter Provide volunteer with their assignment and direct them to the designated area Interested?
