Join us August 14–16 at the Plunkett Estate to help make our milestone 15th anniversary a tail-wagging success! Pawlooza is Canada’s premier dog festival, and as a 100% volunteer-driven event, our team is the heartbeat of everything we do. Best of all, 100% of our festival proceeds are split equally to support two vital regional non-profits: ARF Ontario (animal rescue and fostering) and LEADS Employment Services (helping individuals with disabilities and accessibility barriers secure meaningful employment). Maggie’s Run is a chip timed 10K and 5K run, as well as a 2.5K walk and 1K roll/stroll, inspired by the life and legacy of Maggie Hanham, who lived with dementia and received compassionate care at McCormick Home. Created in her honor, this run is hosted by McCormick Care Foundation and raises vital funds for dementia care services at McCormick Care Group, ensuring that individuals and families continue to receive the high-quality care, support, and compassion they deserve.Volunteers are needed for a variety of positions to help ensure a smooth event and exceptional experience for the participants. Roles include:Course Marshal: be on the course in a specific location to guide participants in the right direction. Hydration Station: operate one of our four water stations, which includes table set up. Registration Desks: Volunteer Registration Desk: help check in volunteers and hand out their t-shirts. Racer Registration Desk: assist with runner registration, event kit pickup, collect donations, and payment for run registrations. Community Celebration/Wellness Fair Event Registration: help with collecting donations and payments for registrations. Event Clean Up: help roll up the finish chute and pack up the tents. Parking Marshall: help provide parking directions Other Details: Time commitment for volunteers is from 8:00 am to noon on Saturday, September 12.High energy, positive attitude, able to stand outside for long periods of time with limited to no shade, willing to work as part of a team, self-motivated, and reliable. This is a great opportunity for high school students to get hours, families to volunteer together or anyone to help out in the community. The MS Bike – Grand Bend to London, July 25th - 26th.MS Bike is a two-day cycling event where every kilometer ridden helps raise funds and awareness for the 90,000 Canadians living with multiple sclerosis (MS).
